Steps of Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose) -

Lie down on the back for few seconds to get relax. Keep your legs closer to each other.
Now, lift your legs in upward direction perpendicular to the floor.
Once settled in this position, try to lift your waist using your hands. But take care that your legs will not go in the direction of your head like in the Halasan.
Keep your legs straight and keep your toes in upward direction.
Keep your eyes on the toes and keep your mouth shut.
Confirm that your body weight should be on your shoulder and neck.

This is the exact position of Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose).

Precautions to take before doing Sarvangasan (Shoulder Stand Pose)

Consult with the doctor before starting to do this asana (pose). People with weak health should be very careful while doing this asana.
This asana can be done in the morning or evening, but only with an empty stomach or after 3-4 hours after having food.
Don't press yourself to get position if not feeling comfortable. Do it only till you feel comfortable.
keep breathing normal. But, inhale slowly while lifting your legs and exhale slowly while releasing position.
Beginner can do it for 5-10 seconds and can increase time by 2-5 seconds per week. After few days of practice, can do it from 3 - 5 minutes.
This asana can be done before or after Shirshasan.
